Tottenham Hotspur seem very determined to make sure that Harry Kane continues to top up his goal tally this season.
An announcement from the Premier League on Wednesday confirmed that Spurs had successfully appealed to have the winning goal against Stoke City awarded to the striker.
Christian Eriksen went down as the official scorer during the 2-1 triumph over the Potters as it came from his free kick, but Kane insisted that he got a slight touch on the ball.
Tottenham backed his claim, and as a result, the England international now has 25 goals to his name, which puts him four adrift of the current Premier League top scorer Mohamed Salah.
The Liverpool attacker managed to edge ahead of his teammate in the race for the Golden Boot due to Kane’s injury absence, but now both are fighting fit for the closing stages of the campaign.
Liverpool fans poked fun at the Tottenham star’s appeal, and now it seems that Salah himself has been left surprised by the situation.
The Egyptian international wrote a cryptic post on Twitter, and his teammates Simon Mignolet, Georginio Wijnaldum and Trent Alexander-Arnold soon followed.
Wooooooow really ?
