Liverpool’s Grujic needs to show his worth in the top flight, and Cardiff can offer that

Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic could be set to join Cardiff City on loan for the season according to BBC Sport.

What’s the story?

The 22-year-old was signed by Jurgen Klopp in 2016 and has made eight substitution appearances for the Reds in his time there.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Cardiff where he played 13 times for Neil Warnock’s team, scoring once.

Grujic is being linked with a move back to the Cardiff City Stadium this summer and Neil Warnock has said that he is confident of a deal being completed.

Time for Premier League experience

The 6ft 3in tall Grujic impressed for Cardiff last season and helped the Bluebirds gain promotion to the Premier League thanks to his composure and range of passing from defensive midfield.

He hasn’t been given much of a chance at Liverpool and it’s definitely time for him to show his worth in the top flight.

He is unlikely to feature much for Liverpool with Naby Keita and Fabinho occupying the central midfield spots, so it would be a good move for all involved if he went to Cardiff and gained some Premier League experience.
