Liverpool ended their 2019 pre-season exhibition matches in the best way possible.

It has been a rocky road this summer for Jurgen Klopp and the Reds, with both ups and downs, but they've finished it with a victory in Geneva.

The new Premier League season is just around the corner and Liverpool will have one final challenge to face before the 2019/20 campaign kicks off.

They still have to play Manchester City in the Community Shield as the champions and runners-up from last season lock horns.

Still, if the Reds' last game was any indication, they are slowly getting match ready, as are their youngsters.

Bobby Duncan, one of their players from the younger crop, also participated in the game against Lyon and has taken to Instagram to share a post-match snap.

And it quickly caught the attention of some other players and teammates alike.

Harvey Elliott, Liverpool's newest signing, was first on the scene to send a message of support to Duncan, calling him a "big balla", emphasising how good of a player he thinks he is.

And it's pretty justified, too.

Duncan has played a total of 36 games across all competitions in 2018/19, including the Premier League 2 and U18 Premier League, and managed to score 25 goals and tally eight assists.
