Ah, it’s that time again, the international break.
Indeed, it only feels like last week that we were counting down the days before club football made its return, but once again we’ve been plunged into the tedious melee that is the international break.
We could go on and on about how utterly boring it is watching England play in anything that isn’t a major club competition, but we’re sure most of you have already had those conversations as soon as you heard the announcement that Gareth Southgate, Czech Republic and Bulgaria are almost upon us.

For players, however, it’s a different story. The international call-up is a momentous honour, and understandably so. It used to be a buzz getting picked for the school team.
Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster has been in good form this season with the youth squad, scoring three goals and creating one in seven appearances in all competitions, and was one of the privileged few to be called into the England under-21 setup again after making his debut at the start of September.
