Alexander-Arnold and Robertson made top-flight history last season for their creative exploits, as they became the first defenders from the same club to provide ten or more assists in the same campaign.

They ended the season with 12 and 11 each, with Alexander-Arnold getting the better of his £54million-rated teammate after creating the joint-third most goals in the Premier League.

Going by their recent activity on Twitter, they are set to go to battle looking to better their tallies from 2018/19 to emerge on top come next May.

This is not the first time this season that Robertson and Alexander-Arnold's friendly rivalry to be the better creator has extended onto social media, as Liverpool's No. 66 had shared "Robbo can’t get an assist if he’s scoring #CleverTrent" after the Reds' 4-3 win against Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League last month.
