Manchester City were expected to be in the title race with Liverpool this season.
The big fat Liverpool quiz of 2019 – how much do you remember about the last year at Anfield?
The Citizens won the Premier League trophy last season, pipping the Reds to the trophy by a single point. However, whilst many were thinking that we would have a similarly enthralling battle for the title this time around, it has ended up being anything but.
The Reds currently lead the champions by no less than 14 points, and they have a game in hand to boot. That is clearly too much to take for one City fan. Calling up to a BBC Radio 5Live call-in show, he said that Liverpool were having the luckiest season of any team in Premier League history.
“I think #LFC have had the most fortunate season I’ve seen any club have in the Premier League since it started.”
Says a #MCFC fan…

As you can imagine, many of the Reds supporters were far from happy with the fanciful claims.
Saltiest thing I’ve heard in a long long time.
These city fans heads are exploding

Jealousy shines through this City fan who can’t have it that Liverpool have been better and are better than Manchester City this season.

Some fans have been quick to point out that they have also had their fair share of injuries.
No injuries to key players…… Really? Shall we write a list, they’ve had Laporte and Sane out 🙄🙄. But have a squad that cost 1bn to put together, they should be able to cope having the best squad in the world allegedly.
Any excuse now just to disrespect how well we’ve done.

1) Fab is a key player, been out for 10 games 2) Allison key player, out for 8 games 3) down to two for CB’s , didn’t bother us or disrupt the flow – fail to understand how one player for City being injured is the main reason they aren’t up with us… #noclue city have no history

Alison, matip,Fabinho,Keita,ox,shaq have all been injured this season yet we don’t moan about it just get on with it

City have been unfortunate to be without the likes of Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane for long parts of the season, but as has been mentioned, Alisson, Mohamed Salah, Fabinho and Joel Matip have also spent time on the sidelines.
Others, meanwhile, have questioned the comments on the Reds’ ability to score late goals.
The hypocrisy is just unbelievable. Their 100 point season when Sterling was winning games in the last min that’s all completely forgotten. They moan about sane and they forget they still have Sterling and mahrez playing every week. Give one of them to UTD and they’re better

City not win the league by scoring a last minute goal against QPR to win the title 😂 or how many they’ve got or the last two seasons in the last minute any excuse 😂

It is great point – City won a league title by scoring not once, but twice in the dying moments of the game.
