Paul Scholes isn’t too popular amongst the Liverpool fan base.

He’s never wound them up to the same levels as Gary Neville or Sir Alex Ferguson, being a rather calm and quiet figure. But he’s still a representative of arch rivals Manchester United, scoring 155 goals in 712 appearances for the Old Trafford outfit and winning an incredible eleven Premier League titles with them.

So despite the ginger maestro’s mild demeanour, Reds supporters haven’t taken too kindly to him working as a pundit for what constitutes one of the most important nights in the Anfield outfit’s recent history.

They’re taking on FC Basel in a vital Champions League clash that will decide who escapes Group B alongside reigning champions Real Madrid.
