For the first time in years, Liverpool are being regarded as genuine Premier League title challengers.

After adding more depth to the midfield and attacking areas, as well as bringing in a world-class goalkeeper in the form of Alisson, the Reds have a squad capable of winning trophies.

This season is going swimmingly for the Merseyside outfit so far as they have won all seven of their matches in all competitions.

Jurgen Klopp's side currently sit at the top of the standings with a two-point advantage over the rest of the pack.

Despite their current form, ex-Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes is not convinced that the current Liverpool team is as good as previous years.

In fact, while speaking on Sky Sports' Goals on Sunday, the Scotsman predicted that the Reds will miss out on the title because their squad is not as strong as the one overseen by former boss Rafael Benitez.

Liverpool have the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in the squad, and during Benitez's stint, Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres, Javier Mascherano and Xabi Alonso graced the Anfield pitch.

Some Liverpool fans have tweeted their thoughts on Moyes's claim.
