Napoli ace Dries Mertens is stalling over a new deal with the club amid links with a move to Liverpool, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Belgian attacker has scored six goals and registered two assists across his 14 Serie A games this term, earning talks over a new deal in Southern Italy.
He is entering the final 18 months of his current deal that is due to expire in 2018, with Napoli understood to be looking for around €13m should contract deadlocks continue.
The club signed him from PSV during the reign of former Liverpool coach Rafa Benitez back in 2013 for around €9.5m
He is a regular at international level, earning 44 caps for Belgium, who are ranked as the top country in the world in the current FIFA rankings.
