The final Premier League game of the day is upon us as Liverpool host West Brom at Anfield.

The Reds headed into the game knowing they could go top with a big enough win against the Baggies after Tottenham and Arsenal drew 0-0 respectively earlier in the day, but they know all about how those goalless draws can come around after Monday night.

The Reds drew at home to Manchester United that evening with Jose Mourinho’s men stifling the seemingly, up to then, unstoppable Liverpool front-line and it seemed as though one man in that attack was part of that reason.

Daniel Sturridge looked off the pace in the game and was duly subbed in the second-half, highlighting the struggles he has had all season.

The former Chelsea man has not scored all campaign in the Premier League and that is largely indicative of a more long-term decline in form as this infographic from @WhoScored suggests:
