Liverpool have already made two signings during this transfer window.
The highest-profile one so far is the arrival of Takumi Minamino, who joined from RB Salzburg, whilst Joe Hardy came in from Brentford B to play for the U23 squad initially. Jurgen Klopp has said that any more new signings are unlikely, but now it appears that they have been linked with another youngster.

According to RMC Sport (via The Daily Mail), the Reds are interested in taking OGC Nice’s Pedro Brazao to Anfield this month. The Merseyside outfit are not the only European club to be pursuing the 17-year-old, though, with PSG, Bayern Munich and Sporting Lisbon also mentioned as potential destinations.
Brazao is at the very start of his career. He has just 13 minutes of Ligue 1 football under his belt, although they did come last season when he was just 16 years of age. He only signed his first professional contract with the club last April, but he is a regular for Portugal’s youth sides – he already has 28 appearances, and has netted six goals as well.
As a left-winger, he is one for the future, and he clearly has something about considering the clubs who are reportedly interested. However, Liverpool do not need another youthful addition on that flank, as they already have Curtis Jones at their disposal.
The 18-year-old is already making something of a name for himself in the north-west. He bagged his first strike for the club, and it was a stunning one at that, against Everton in the third-round of the FA Cup, for example. At youth level, he has been in stunning form, picking up 12 goals in 14 matches on the left flank.

Whilst it is important that the Reds do plan for the future – the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah will not be around for ever – those plans should not come as a challenge to one of those promising youngsters already at their disposal. Jones is already making a name for himself in the game – Brazao just is not needed.
