According to reports from L’Equipe, highly-rated defender Presnel Kimpembe has rejected a contract offer from PSG.
The 20-year-old is regarded as one of the French champions’ most exciting youngsters, having represented their B side on 36 occasions and also made eight appearances in Ligue 1 – six of which came last season.
Everton and Liverpool were both linked with the France U21 in March, with L’Equipe suggesting the Merseyside duo and French outfit Monaco could end up battling for his signature during the summer transfer window.
And the same publication now claim Kimpembe has rejected a three-year contract extension at Parc de Princes after the Ligue 1 giants failed to meet his wage demands.
The youngster’s current contract is due to expire in 2018, making the current window PSG’s best claiming a decent fee for the 6 foot starlet.
However, that also gives Unai Emery’s side plenty of time to agree a new deal with Kimpembe.
