Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after it was revealed that Manchester City are to be investigated by UEFA for alleged financial fair play violations.
The Football Association are also looking into claims that the Citizens made a banned £200,000 payment to the agent of Jadon Sancho, back when the now-Borussia Dortmund winger was just 14.
Is Jurgen Klopp a “serial bottler”? The fan in the video below certainly thinks so…
UEFA have already found City guilty of breaching financial fair play regulations back in 2014, where they were then met with a £49m fine – £32m of it was suspended – whilst their Champions League squad had to be reduced for the 2014/15 season.
Unsurprisingly, following the revelation, Liverpool fans have been quick to comment on their title rivals’ wrongdoing, in the vain hope that a possible points deduction could come their way and aid their quest for a maiden Premier League title.
Let’s see what the Reds supporters are saying about the Citizens’ situation on Twitter…
30 point deduction should do the trick

They’ll just get fined something big like 10m and that’ll be the end of it. Do u realize how them and psg keep doing it? It’s because the authorities want them to do it, so they can fine them. It’s all a money circle. They won’t be docked points

If it were a points deduction, an we win the league, that’s all we’d ever hear about from all other fans!

Let’s see what excuse the @FA will have this time

Nothing will happen

Any trophies won during that time should be stripped, just like an athletes would for cheating.

no action will be taken, money change/changed hands under the table, we are above the law because we are rich 🙂

Put an asterix against anything they’ve won so the history books know they’ve cheated the system since they took over. Ban them from more signings or loan players from their feeder clubs. Deduct points this season. Any monetary fine will do nothing to stop this behaviour.

Why actually investigate? Its obvious they have broke the rules because of the amount spent, not sure how it works but it looks obvious. Surely it should have been done years ago. Nothing will happen UEFA are more corrupt than all the clubs involved
