Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has refused to scrap talk of a serious summer move for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez.
The Reds striker was one of the Spaniards’ top targets last year, but despite his public agitation for a switch to the Bernabeu a deal never materialised.
Liverpool held form to keep their man, and have since rewarded him with a mega money contract and secured the Champions League football he craved at Anfield for next season.
Suarez has also hinted that he is ready to stay after stating that he wants to experience top level European football on Merseyside, while some reports indicate that he has told team-mates that he will be staying.
But that has not deterred Real, who are still keen on the 31-goal Premier League top scorer of 2013/14.
When asked about Suarez, Perez – known for his desire to bankroll massive transfers – refused to rule out an offer:
“Luis Suarez? There are many good players, we will keep improving the squad,” he is quoted by talkSPORT.
“I like all good players, especially those of Real Madrid, but I like them all.”
