Some people like Yaya Toure have argued that Manchester City have been unlucky with injuries so far this season. Whilst that may be the case, Liverpool have had their fair share of issues as well.
So far this campaign, Alisson, Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip, Fabinho, James Milner, Mohamed Salah, Xherdan Shaqiri and Naby Keita have all spent time on the sidelines, with several of them still being out of action.
The big fat Liverpool quiz of 2019 – how much do you remember about the last year at Anfield?
However, good news has been provided by David Maddock, who is the northern correspondent for The Daily Mirror. On Twitter, he said that Fabinho, Matip and Shaqiri all completed full training sessions on Wednesday, whilst Milner and Keita could return to full training next week.
Fabinho, Matip, Shaqiri all completed full session with #LFC in intense training session today, will be available for the weekend. Lovren did a tailored session alone. Milner and Keita due to resume rehab outside later in week and could return to training next week if all well.
