Liverpool fans have been voting and a clear majority would be against their side chasing Leicester City’s Hamza Choudhury.

Choudhury has begun to forge a permanent fixture for himself in Claude Puel’s side since the start of December, marking a turn around for the academy graduate who struggled for minutes upon his return from a loan stint at Burton Albion.

The 21-year-old put in a fine display for the Foxes at Goodison Park in the last Premier League meeting prior to the break for the FA Cup, where he was handed another start by Claude Puel in the defeat to Newport County.

The midfielder, famed for his afro, notched an overall WhoScored rating of 7.8 against the Toffees, only bettered by Man of the Match Ricardo Pereira, and his involvement was key to Leicester’s success.

After his stint, which featured 52 touches, one key pass, along with five successful tackles and five interceptions – the most of any player on either side in both respects – Liverpool fans were asked if they would like the 5 foot 10 ace at their club one day.

The Anfield natives, however, had a resounding answer, with 60% of those who voted in a recent Football FanCast poll deeming the 21-year-old not good enough for Klopp’s side.
