When Burnley sold Michael Keane to Everton during the summer, many feared the worst for Sean Dyche's side. But the England international's absence has hardly been felt at Turf Moor; Burnley are up to sixth in the Premier League and Keane's ready-made replacement James Tarkowski is already a shoo-in for the Player of the Season award at the Lancashire club.

Tarkowski is yet to be capped for England but his performances speak for themselves. So in light of Liverpool's defensive issues, especially at the heart of their backline, we asked Reds fans earlier this week whether the Merseysiders should launch a shock mid-season swoop for the 25-year-old during the January transfer window.

And according to our poll, 73% of Liverpool fans would back a January swoop for the Burnley ace. Whether Dyche would let such a valuable player leave his side halfway through the campaign remains to be seen but with his contract about it enter its final 18 months, a sizeable offer might well tempt them.
