Jack Butland has poured cold water over reports he could soon be on the move to Liverpool, according to Sky Sports.
The England international has been solid between the sticks for Stoke this term, earning plaudits, as well as links to the Merseyside giants.
Current Reds shot-stopper Simon Mignolet has often come under fire for his performances in the Anfield goal, having never truly convinced he is of the required standard.
The Belgian’s latest blunder saw him keep a hold of the ball for 22 seconds, affording Bordeaux an indirect free kick in the Europa League, which they ultimately scored from.
However, the 22-year old custodian has moved to quell suggestions he could replace Mignolet at Liverpool and insists he is committed to the cause at the Britannia.
‘Right now I can’t see a better place for me to be. I am learning every week’, revealed the former Birmingham ace.
‘I believe we can do some really good things at Stoke so that is where my whole focus is at the minute.’
Butland joined the Potters as a teenager from Birmingham and broke into the first-team following the sale of Asmir Begovic to Chelsea in the summer.
