Mohamed Salah can seemingly do no wrong in the eyes of the football world at the moment due to his impressive performances for Liverpool.
The Egyptian international has emerged as the club’s star man having hit 43 goals and 13 assists in 46 appearances in all competitions.
The former Chelsea reject is only in his first season at Anfield, but his displays earned him the PFA Player of the Year award from his peers.
After playing a pivotal role in the Reds’ 5-2 thumping over Roma in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final last week, Salah had an unusual off day against Stoke City on Saturday.
The 25-year-old was relatively quiet during the frustrating contest that ended in a goalless draw, and he even missed the target while through on goal in the first half.
After the match, footage emerged appearing to show the attacker whack Stoke’s Bruno Martins Indi with a flailing arm.
If the referee did not spot the incident, then retrospective action could be taken if deemed appropriate by the Football Association.
It is unclear if Salah will be punished, but rival supporters are certainly unhappy that the Liverpool star has not been criticised in the media for his actions.

Remember when dele got a 3 match ban for a punch on west Brom's Claudio Yacob? Salah should get the same!

I don’t care if Salah gets a suspension or not. I do care, however, if you try to claim he didn’t aim a punch in that dude’s direction. He did. And he’s lucky he missed.

If Dele had swung a punch at a Stoke player over the weekend, it would be everywhere. Because it’s Salah and media favorites Liverpool, it’s not even mentioned. No action from @premierleague obviously. #LFC #LIVSTK #DoubleStandards

@FA so @MoSalah gets away with throwing a punch at an opposing player…are there special rules for the PFA player of the year? he’s immune to punishment correct? yet slimani will get a 3 match ban no doubt for kicking out? #bias #fixed The FA is an absolute joke! #pathetic
