And now it’s finally official. Liverpool have confirmed the transfer of the young Dutch pearl, Sepp van den Berg, who is joining the club from PEC Zwolle on a long-term contract.
This promising youngster is only 17-years-old but has already caught the eye of the biggest European giants. Standing at just over six feet tall, the centre-back made 15 appearances last season.
After officially signing for the club he posted an Instagram snap celebrating the move, and some of the big football names were there to congratulate him and send their regards.
Of course, the very first in line was Liverpool’s official Twitter account, who welcomed Van den Berg to the club and notified the fans of his transfer.

Many Dutch players, rivals and friends were also quick to send their messages of support to the young defender, who’s already donning red and has his contract signed.
Aside from his time with Zwolle, he also has some international experience, winning four caps with the Netherlands Under-19 team for which he has already scored two goals.
