Six pictures that summed up Liverpool 4-1 Stoke
When Liverpool went 0-1 down at home to Stoke, there were more than a few nervous fans watching on at Anfield and from further afield on TV sets across the globe.
Jonathan Walters headed in at the near post after just 12 minutes, and with all of the Reds’ major title rivals having all picked up Boxing Day wins, anything other than a comeback would have dealt Jurgen Klopp’s men a potentially fatal blow in the race for the big prize.
And it was a comeback they got as Adam Lallana and Roberto Firmino made it 2-1 before half-time. The second 45 was a similar story as Liverpool weathered some early pressure from Stoke before Giannelli Imbula put the ball into his own net and Daniel Sturridge scored after a horrendous back pass from Ryan Shawcross.

The match ended 4-1 and may well be looked back on as a vital one at the end of the season if Liverpool can bridge the six-point gap between themselves and leaders Chelsea.
