The build-up to Liverpool's clash with Manchester United on Sunday continues.

The Reds are currently 27 points clear of their fierce rivals, but that is unlikely to matter too much come the big match at the weekend. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men will be out to cause an upset as they continue their quest to get back into the top four.

The big fat Liverpool quiz of 2019 - how much do you remember about the last year at Anfield?

The Norwegian has been talking up his team's chances ahead of the match, and he has revealed that he has come up with a "nice way of playing" against the Reds.

This has brought plenty of reaction from supporters of the Anfield outfit on Twitter, and many believe that this means United will play conservatively.

Given the current gulf in class between the two sides, you cannot really blame the former Cardiff City boss if he chooses to play with a defensive team.

Others, meanwhile, just seem genuinely annoyed by his comments.

They shouldn't really let these comments get to them. In the grand scheme of things, it does not really matter what Solskjaer says. If Liverpool can do what they have done practically all season, it does not matter how they set up.

A couple of fans even suggested that this should act as great motivation for Klopp's men.

It certainly should give the Reds the desire to prove Solskjaer wrong at least.

Another supporter meanwhile, actually agreed with the United boss.

There is an element of fact here, with the Red Devils being the only team to take any points off the European champions in the Premier League this term.

It may well just be another chapter in the pre-match mind games, but Solskjaer has certainly stoked the flames with his comments. It remains to be seen however if it actually works out for the Manchester side this weekend.

In other news, Liverpool's transfer plans are revealed by David Maddock.
