Spanish giants will not make Liverpool Suarez move

Real Madrid and Barcelona will not be making summer moves for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez, unless the player agitates for a transfer, according to reports from the Daily Star.

Rumours in Spain over the course of the past few days have indicated that the La Liga giants are both plotting offers of around £70m for the Uruguayan – who netted two World Cup goals to send England out of the competition on Thursday – following his electric displays last season.

Suarez was voted the Premier League’s top performer after firing Liverpool to within spitting distance of their first title in 24 years, and has spoken of his desire to stay at Anfield for Champions League football.

But Real and Barca have both been linked with moves for the striker amid speculation that he is keen to move on.

However neither side will make offers unless the 27-year-old chases a switch away from Merseyside.

Word from within the club indicates that the player himself is settled and will not actively chase a move.

Suarez did attempt to force his way out of Liverpool last year, but Brendan Rodgers’ side held firm to keep him out of Arsenal’s clutches despite a bizarre £40,000,001 offer.
