Stats show Klopp is finally getting the best out of Liverpool

Liverpool have come a long way under Jurgen Klopp in the past year and, having lost two cup finals last season, the performances from the Reds this term suggest that the Merseyside outfit could finally have something to shout about once again at the end of the campaign.

Klopp quickly moved to press his tactics upon the Liverpool squad last season and achieved varying results, as it understandably took a while for things to settle. However, the Reds seem to be finally reaping the benefits and are one of the most creative sides in Europe’s top-fives leagues this season.

Liverpool stand as the third-most creative side in Europe’s leading five leagues, narrowly behind Serie A outfit Roma, but some way off leaders Real Madrid, although the inclusion of Southampton in this statistic may raise a few eyebrows – and could lead to the Reds swooping to sign a Southampton man once again.

Unfortunately, Liverpool do lack a leading goalscorer and have scored 18 league goals this season – which translates to creating 101 chances where they haven’t found the net.

Liverpool are the third-highest scoring side in the Premier League this season, sat behind Manchester City and Arsenal (19).
