Suarez V.2.0? Liverpool star attracting Spanish interest

Liverpool could face a battle to keep Philippe Coutinho at Anfield next summer with reports from The Express claiming that Barcelona are interested in the attacking midfielder.

The Brazil international has shone since making a cut-price move from Inter Milan to Merseyside in January 2013 and is now, arguably, the Reds’ key player following the exits of Luis Suarez, Steven Gerrard and Raheem Sterling.

And it seems that Barca have been suitably impressed by the creative and skilful playmaker, with The Express, citing Fichajes, claiming that they are looking at him as they plot their next bout of signings – a transfer ban has somewhat curtailed their recent activity.

Kop hero Steven Gerrard recently admitted that he’s worried one of Spain’s big sides will come calling for Coutinho soon, while Brazilian football hero Ronaldinho has suggested in the past that he’s good enough to play for Barca.
