The FIVE ‘transfer bargains’ to change Liverpool’s fortunes

It has been a season of slow and gradual improvements for Liverpool. Although the Anfield club have finished up just one position higher than the year previous in the Premier League, Brendan Rodgers has overall done well to get the Reds out of their malaise, with progress on and off the pitch.

But nevertheless, the players, the owners, the coaches and the manager are desperate for more on the red half of Merseyside, and next season their aim will be to qualify for the Champions League.

With money tight however, the Reds gaffer is presented with a difficult task over the summer of adding to the quality of the first team and finding adequate replacements for the retiring Jamie Carragher and the reportedly departing Pepe Reina, without putting the club’s finances into disrepute.
