It's back to Premier League business this weekend and for Liverpool, they're facing a trip to Crystal Palace.

They enjoyed more success in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening, overcoming Spurs 2-1 at Anfield, with some youngsters given the chance to shine. And there were some seriously encouraging displays from certain individuals that will definitely give manager Jurgen Klopp food for thought ahead of the weekend.

It's back to league action on Saturday and standing in Liverpool's way are Crystal Palace, who haven't started this season badly at all. They're picking up points regularly and with Yohan Cabaye coming back to full fitness, they have every chance of a top-ten finish come the end of the campaign.

But naturally, we think Klopp's exciting and punchy Liverpool side will be too much for the Eagles as they continue to battle for the Premier League title. That being said, the Reds have a history of disappointing results at Selhurst Park - so it's imperative the Anfield gaffer chooses the right starting XI.

Despite Simon Mignolet getting a run-out against Spurs, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has made it extremely clear young German Loris Karius is his number one going forward.

RB: Nathaniel Clyne

Liverpool v Tottenham Hotspur - EFL Cup Fourth Round

Nathaniel Clyne has been in fantastic form this season and his presence at right-back is having a seriously positive effect on Liverpool's efforts in defence and attack.

The former Southampton man loves getting forward but seems to have really refined his defensive game too.

CB: Joel Matip

Joel Matip

Summer signing Joel Matip has slotted into this side with such ease, it's like he's been playing here for years already.

The former Schalke man has brought pace and assurance to the Reds' back four and despite some still continuing to criticise Liverpool defensively, Matip is doing enough to distance himself from the doubters.

CB: Dejan Lovren

Burnley v Liverpool - Premier League

Another former Southampton man in this back line is Dejan Lovren, who is looking more and more comfortable alongside Joel Matip by the week.

The pair appear to have an extremely good chemistry and if they can keep former Red Christian Benteke quiet this weekend, Palace will struggle to come away with any points.

LB: James Milner

Milner celebration

Another player who was rested on Tuesday evening was James Milner, who will be raring to take flight against the Eagles.

He's been fantastic in his new role at left-back this season and Jurgen Klopp must take plenty of credit for recognising his potential to play there, especially when Alberto Moreno was struggling.

CDM: Jordan Henderson

Jordan Henderson

Jordan Henderson's rise to the top of English football continues to go on and in this Liverpool side, he's becoming more important by the week.

He moves the ball so well from midfield and it's great to see him emulating some of the success club legend Steven Gerrard had on the pitch.

CDM: Georginio Wijnaldum

Georginio Wijnaldum

He got through the Spurs game unscathed and as long as his training has gone to plan this week, we're expecting Wijnaldum to return to the first team for the game against Palace.

He's showing signs of evelopment week-by-week and looking a lot more confident - which is only a good thing for Liverpool.

RM: Sadio Mane

Sadio Mane

There's only one man starting on the right-hand flank and that's Sadio Mane, the third former Saint to make our XI.

He's had an absolutely blistering start to his Liverpool career. His pace, directness and physicality have proved too much for a plethora of teams this season and it's tough to see Palace's defenders matching his pace throughout the whole game.

CAM: Phillipe Coutinho

Philippe Coutinho

Another sure-fire starter for this one is Phillipe Coutinho who, like many in this Liverpool team, has been absolutely fantastic at times this season.

He and his fellow attackers seem to have a real understanding and Klopp's willingness for them all to get forward in nomadic fashion is really paying dividends.

LM: Adam Lallana

Adam Lallana

One of the most underrated players in this whole division is Adam Lallana.

The England international brings so much skill and trickery to the Liverpool wing and his playmaking style is a real breath of fresh air. His movement and the way it allows his fellow forwards to create space borders upon phenomenal.

ST: Roberto Firmino

It's almost ironic that on Christian Benteke's first appearance against Liverpool since leaving Anfield, the Reds have another man producing in the final third.

Roberto Firmino has stepped into the striking role with aplomb and the former Hoffenheim man looks extremely comfortable leading the Reds' forward line.

Despite grabbing two goals against Spurs, there's still no room for Daniel Sturridge in our starting XI and it could be like that for a long time, if Firmino has anything to do with it.
