Liverpool picked up another three points on Saturday evening.
This time, they were victorious at Carrow Road against Norwich City. It was perhaps not the best performance from Jurgen Klopp’s side – they only managed a 1-0 victory thanks to a single goal from Sadio Mane – but it now sees them extend their lead to 25 points at the top of the Premier League table.
The Canaries were not too bad against the European champions, and one of those to particularly stand out was Todd Cantwell. The 21-year-old picked up a SofaScore rating of 7.2 at the weekend, managing two key passes and winning five fouls. According to The Athletic, members of the Reds’ playing and coaching staff were impressed by the England U21 international, and they are now said to be front-runners in the race to sign him.
This has got plenty of Liverpool fans talking, but there are many who aren’t too excited by the speculation – some believe that he spends too much time looking for fouls.
Caught the eye? I’m what? Falling over at the slightest touch…. really Cantwell improving this team/squad? Nah

He’d have to change the way he went down he was embarrassing on Saturday, don’t think he’s good enough anyway

Really?? Thiught he was actually quite poor on Saturday. Only thing he did for Norwich was hit the deck under every challenge and win a freekick

On the floor way too much

Indeed, Cantwell was down a fair few times on Saturday, but maybe that was because he caused the Reds a few problems, as the five fouls he suffered indicate. They wouldn’t be the first team to find it difficult to stop him – only 11 players in the Premier League have won more free-kicks than his two per game.
Others, meanwhile, would rather target his Norwich teammate Emi Buendia.
Jeez get buendia instead would be perfect for Liverpool

Rather get buendia

The 23-year-old Argentine has been in top form this term, managing seven assists in the top flight – that leads the way amongst his teammates.
One fan, meanwhile, believes Klopp would be able to turn him into a top player.
He’s an average but I believe that Klopp would turn him into a beast.

You only need to look at the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane, for example – they were signed from Southampton and, under Klopp, they have turned into players who have recently challenged for the Ballon d’Or – to see the former Borussia Dortmund manager working some of his magic on the youngster.
Another fan believes that Cantwell would be a great replacement for Adam Lallana.
Cantwell will be the lallana replacement, by eye he looks very similar in terms of the way he moves with the ball and holds on to it in tight situations, not sure if the stats back it up but looks another shrewd signing taking all the factors into account, resale too
