There will be a fundraising event for the Irishman this Friday night, where an Irish legends team takes on a Liverpool legends team in a bid to raise money for Cox's care after he leaves the hospital.

Toffees right-back Coleman has been a huge help in helping Cox and his family recover from the incident, twice donating €5,000 to his fundraiser page, whilst Jurgen Klopp has also made a significant donation.

Coleman said: "I just pictured him leaving Dublin airport, excited to go to a football match, and to think that something like that could happen just touched a spot."

Despite Everton and Liverpool being city rivals and not being too fond of each other, Coleman's kind words towards a fellow Irishman have been met with praise by Reds supporters on Twitter...
