Picked up by Brendan Rodgers for just £8.5million in January 2013, Philippe Coutinho is one of the shrewdest buys in recent Premier League history.

Indeed, the Brazilian has since established himself as one of the most dangerous attacking midfielders in the Premier League, combining creativity in the final third with lethal finishing from long range.

That's lead to 24 goals and a similar tally of assists in 115 Premier League appearances for Liverpool - including three strikes already this season.

And the 24-year-old's strong start to the season has got us at FootballFanCast thinking about Coutinho's record in England since his arrival almost four years ago.

As our gallery proves, the South American's track history, in terms of both goals and assists, is incredibly impressive. Whilst some of the Premier League's top stars are little more than flat-track bullies, Coutinho's notched up noteworthy tallies against some of the division's top clubs.

Here's a look the ten English sides who've felt his wrath the most.

10. Fulham - Three Apps, One Goal, Two Assists

Coutinho celebration

Fulham are commonplace in galleries of this kind and Coutinho's record against the Cottagers is pretty strong - contributing to three goals in as many appearances. That includes a strike in a 3-2 win at Craven Cottage back in 2014.

9. Derby County - One App, One Goal, One Assist

Britain Football Soccer -

Derby County have faced Coutinho only once but the Brazilian had a field day, finding the net and setting another one up for one of his Liverpool team-mates.

8. Aston Villa - Eight Apps, One Goal, Five Assists

Liverpool v Hull City - Premier League

Another regular along with Fulham, Aston Villa have been whipping boys for many of the Premier League's top talents over the last few years. Coutinho's scoring record may not be so spectacular with just one goal in eight appearances, but his impressive return of five assists puts the Villains in eighth place.

7. Chelsea - Ten Apps, Two Goals, One Assist

Liverpool v Hull City - Premier League

The first big hitter on our list. The South American has claimed two goals and one assist versus the Blues, but it's taken him ten outings to do so - the highest number of appearances against any club in this gallery.

6. Tottenham Hotspur - Nine Apps, Two Goals, One Assist

Another high-profile opponent Coutinho's done well against. It's almost a carbon copy of his Chelsea record, but the 24-year-old has managed it in one less appearance. However, he didn't find the net against the north Londoners earlier this season in a 1-1 draw.

5. Everton - Seven Apps, Two Goals, One Assist

Liverpool v Hull City - Premier League

Liverpool fans will be delighted to see their bitter rivals on this list, with Coutinho contributing to three goals against Everton - almost one in every two appearances.

4. Southampton - Six Apps, Three Goals

Liverpool v Hull City - Premier League

The only club on this list Coutinho hasn't grabbed an assist against, but his scoring record remains nonetheless impressive. Indeed, he's bagged three strikes in six outings versus Southampton, including a goal in a 3-2 defeat at St. Mary's last season.

3. Arsenal - Seven Apps, Three Goals, One Assist

Liverpool v Hull City - Premier League

Liverpool vs Arsenal is always a bit of a goal fest and that's reflected in Coutinho's stats, contributing to four goals in five outings against the Gunners - not least including his brace at the Emirates on the opening day of the current campaign.

2. QPR - Three Apps, Three Goals, One Assist

Liverpool v Hull City - Premier League

QPR fans must hate the sight of Philippe Coutinho, who's grabbed three goals in as many appearances against the west London club. He's also claimed one set-up.

1. Manchester City - Seven Apps, Six Goals, One Assist

Liverpool v Hull City - Premier League

Make no mistake about it, Philippe Coutinho loves playing against Manchester City. In fact, he's not scored more goals against any other side throughout his career and has contributed to one goal per game overall. Impressive stuff.
