Werder Bremen have struggled in the Bundesliga so far this season, but the same cannot be said for 23-year-old Milot Rashica.

Whilst Die Werderaner lie in 17th place in the table, having amassed just 17 points from 23 games so far in the German top tier, the Kosovo international has flourished. With 10 goals in 22 matches in all competitions, he leads the way amongst his teammates, whilst he has also impressed for his country, managing two goals in six Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Bremen are still in with a chance of staying in the top flight, and Kosovo can still qualify for the Euros this summer, meaning that it is likely to be a big few months for the former Vitesse Arnhem man.

He has already attracted interest from abroad, though, with Liverpool said to be scouting the winger, who has a €38m (£32m) release clause.

He is a player with immense talent, and there have been several people in the footballing world attesting to that.

Here, we take a look at what those in the know have said about the Bundesliga talent.

Theodor Gebre Selassie, Werder Bremen player

The Czech Republic international is a Bremen stalwart, having made 245 appearances for the club across eight years since joining in 2012. He has seen many players come and go at the Weser Stadion, but he has plenty of praise for current teammate Rashica, per Bundesliga.com:

"He's one of the best players in the Bundesliga!"

That is a big statement. Whilst it does not quite have the glamour of the Premier League, there are still a bucket load of quality players on offer in the Bundesliga.

For example, the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry have lit up the Champions League so far this campaign, with 17 goals between them already, whilst Jadon Sancho has the most assists in all top leagues since the start of last season. Rashica, though, has proven himself to be an exciting addition to the division.

Florian Kohfeldt, Werder Bremen manager

It may have been a difficult campaign for him at Bremen, but Kohfeldt is a manager with a good reputation in Germany. After all, he was named German Manager of the Year for 2018 despite being just 36 years old at the time. He clearly appreciates the talent of his star asset, saying, per Tagesspiegel:

"He is a player who can decide Bundesliga games. You don't find that very often. Milot has incredible skills. In speed, in goal scoring, in passing. These skills also fall on others. Rashica would fit well to England with his pace, but also with his style of play to Spain."

Indeed, despite there being few moments to shout home about this season for his side, Rashica has still been able to be decisive. He scored twice in the 3-2 victory over Wolfsburg, for example, whilst he bagged one and created another in Bremen's win in the DFB Pokal over Borussia Dortmund by the same scoreline.

Frank Baumann, Werder Bremen sporting director

In Germany, the sporting director plays a big role at any top club, and Baumann is the man who has that responsibility at Bremen. The 44-year-old, who spent 10 years with the outfit as a player, is clearly impressed with his desire to improve, per Stimme:

"He is getting better because he always wants to learn and is willing to invest a lot."

That is the mark of a great player. It is vital that they are always willing to push themselves to the next level and not rest on their laurels.

If Rashica were to make the switch to Liverpool, those qualities would be essential to him making the move a success.
