According to Calciomercato, Liverpool were the first team to scout Brazilian prodigy Talles Magno.

What's the story?

The report says that the Reds were the first side to have scouted the 17-year-old.

However, they have now been joined by Italian trio Juventus, Roma and Lazio in terms of interest for the youngster after they saw him at the U17 World Cup.

Player full of ability

Even at just 17 years of age, Magno has made an impression on Brazilian football. He has already made 17 appearances for current club Vasco de Gama, having scored two goals and providing one assist, whilst he shone in the U17 World Cup last year.

In four matches, he scored two goals, and may have bagged even more had a hamstring injury not kept him out of the latter stages of the tournament - it was a competition that Brazil went on to win.

He is a true Brazilian - not only does he play with substance, but also with style. His favourite trick is the lambretta, which involves flicking the ball over an opponent with both feet whilst jumping in the air - older fans may remember Jay-Jay Okocha doing it for Bolton.

Vasco de Gama manager Vanderlei Luxemburgo even called him an "artist" when he completed the skill in one game.

Magno is a versatile forward, having played in all three positions across the front line for his current club. With a release clause of €50m (£41.8m) for clubs outside of Brazil, there may even be a possibility to get him through the door for a far cheaper fee than that.

Vasco are currently in a very difficult financial situation, as the Calciomercato report says, meaning that this could be a golden opportunity to pick up a young star for a viable fee.

He may not come super cheap, but this is a player with the ability to light up Anfield with his natural Brazilian flair and trickery were he given the opportunity to do so.

It is perhaps one that Jurgen Klopp and co should consider in detail.

Elsewhere, Liverpool scout this 23-year-old hot-shot with 10 goals in 21 games this term.
