Liverpool’s flawless start to the 2019/20 Premier League campaign has seen the club win all eight of their first eight league fixtures, but the performances on international duty of one of their midfielders is likely to bode well in their bid to lift the league title in 2020.
Georginio Wijnaldum, 28, has been a regular starter for Jurgen Klopp’s side so far in the league, starting all eight league games whilst also scoring the winner in the club’s 1-0 victory over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
The Dutchman, who has been on international duty with Ronald Koeman’s squad, scored twice in his side’s 2-1 victory over Belarus on Sunday night to lift the Netherlands to joint-top of group C alongside Germany.
Whilst Wijnaldum is not typically renowned as a goalscorer at Liverpool, the midfielder proved that he’s clearly capable of finding the net on international duty and the 28-year-old has been reacting to his team’s impressive performance on Sunday night.

Whilst Wijnaldum was understandably delighted at his side’s performance, fellow Dutch teammates Daley Blind and Ryan Babel were also quick to respond to the midfielder’s Instagram post with praise for his performance against Belarus, as well as club teammate James Milner.
