Liverpool have plenty of exciting young talent in their ranks and at the start of the season manager Jurgen Klopp decided to give them a new test.

The Merseyside club sanctioned a handful of loan moves for some promising stars, including Harry Wilson, Ryan Kent and Ovie Ejaria.

Ben Woodburn was among that list as he joined Sheffield United on a season-long loan in a bid to rack up some competitive minutes.

Unfortunately for the 19-year-old, though, he has struggled to earn a regular spot in Chris Wilder's team.

In fact, the attack-minded starlet has only played 28 minutes of competitive action so far.

According to Goal.com, as a result of his lack of game time, Liverpool are considering recalling Woodburn when the January transfer window opens.

Given that Sheffield United are vying for promotion and they currently sit just three points adrift of top spot, it is not hugely surprising that they are not putting faith in an inexperienced teen.

On Reddit, some Liverpool fans posted their thoughts on the situation.
