Alan Pardew (West Ham, Charlton, Newcastle)

No, this isn’t anything personal against Newcastle United. But Alan Pardew is right up there with one of the most outrageous managers in the job. A number of sideline confrontations, with Arsene Wenger and Manuel Pellegrini to name just two, have led to disciplinary action being taken in the past. He was sent to the stands on the first day of the 2012-13 season for pushing an official during Newcastle’s home game versus Tottenham. He is currently serving a seven-game touchline suspension for inexplicably headbutting Hull’s David Meyler and has promised to tone down his antics after his latest incident. Pardew even once caused controversy live on air during BBC’s Match of the Day 2 as he claimed Micah Richards had ‘raped’ his opponent in a tackle. After years of top-flight managerial experience, it is still difficult to see Pards changing his stripes.
