Man City v Liverpool – Confirmed starting XIs

Raheem Sterling and James Milner line up against their former clubs this evening as Manchester City host Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium.

Sterling completed a £49million switch to City in the summer, while Milner signed for Liverpool on a free after deciding not to renew his contract at the Etihad.

Man City can return to the top of the Premier League with victory today, while Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool need a victory to climb in to the top half of the division.

The team news is that Sergio Aguero should return to City’s starting XI after a lengthy spell on the sidelines, but David Silva won’t be risked by manager Manuel Pellegrini.

Dejan Lovren is expected to come in for the injured Mamadou Sakho, while striker Daniel Sturridge faces a late fitness test.

But here are the CONFIRMED starting line-ups ahead of this big clash…
