Man United & Arsenal toe-to-toe for Uruguayan star

Manchester United and Arsenal are both chasing Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera ahead of the looming summer transfer window, according to reports from talkSPORT.

The Uruguay international – who played alongside Luis Suarez at last summer’s World Cup – is highly-rated and has been a key member of the Turkish giants’ first XI for some time.

And now reports claim that both Arsenal and United are looking at him as a potential signing ahead of what’s likely to be a busy few months of transfer activity at both clubs.

Louis van Gaal’s side look set to lose David de Gea to Real Madrid, which will leave them with back-up man Victor Valdes as the main ‘keeper at Old Trafford.

Muslera is thought to be seen as an option to bolster the ranks, with the 28-year-old an experienced campaigner.

Arsenal are also looking at the former Lazio man, even though Chelsea’s Petr Cech is thought to be a major target.
