Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are locked in a transfer tussle for highly-rated Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi, with reports from the London Evening Standard having revealed that all three clubs scouted him over the weekend.
The 22-year-old has starred for the San Siro side this term, with his 15 Serie A goals having attracted attention from across Europe.
Inter are keen to tie their man down to a new contract, but with negotiations stalling and the team struggling in Italy’s top tier, Icardi’s future is far from clear.
And now reports claim that City, United and Chelsea were all in attendance for the Milan giants’ weekend game with Sampdoria, which they lost 1-0.
Despite the negative result, the Premier League trio are thought to remain keen on the South American youngster, who may be available for around £22m this summer.
Icardi is thought to be demanding wages of around £90,000-per-week, which is more financially viable in England than Italy.
