The teenage duo, both are 19-years-old, have emerged as two of the finest talents in South American football in recent times and are already key components of their club side’s first-team.
Indeed, the pair have been recognised at international level after receiving call-ups to represent Brazil at the Olympic Games, while Gabriel has been capped by the Selecao at senior level.
And reports claim that their performances have attracted attention from the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, with talks regarding both reportedly having taken place with Man United and Chelsea, among others.
It’s understood that the Red Devils are keen on Gabriel – who has been compared to Neymar and dubbed ‘Gabigol’ due to his goalscoring return – while Chelsea are interested in defensive midfielder, Maia.
Roma is believed to have been in London, where talks have taken place with the aforementioned teams.
These developments back up recent reports that Chelsea are tracking Maia.
Meanwhile, Leicester are thought to have made a bid of around £23m for Gabriel.
