Not the best start to 2015 for Manchester United when Ryan Shawcross rifled Stoke City ahead after just a few minutes in the first Premier League clash of the new year.
Louis van Gaal’s side settled down, eventually, and Radamel Falcao got the Red Devils level again and gave a glimpse that 2015 may well prove to be a more successful one for him with the Manchester club than 2014 was. However, things could’ve got a lot worse for United, before the Colombian’s equaliser, had Jonny Evans had anything to do with it.
Evans has been earmarked – kind of – to be the man to replace the gaping hole left by Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, however, on the basis of this first-half showing, including being made to look a fool by former United striker Mame Biram Diouf, the Northern Ireland international doesn’t look capable of being the man United need him to be.
Don’t let it bounce , or play Jonny Evans . Ever again #sundayleaguemoto
