Despite Manchester United spending in excess of £150m on transfers in the summer following Jose Mourinho’s arrival, the Portuguese boss is still not happy with his squad and is targeting further additions in January – including a very familiar name from the Premier League.
Once again, the name being thrown about the ring is that of Everton’s Seamus Coleman, a player who was heavily linked with a move across the North West of England three years ago when David Moyes and Marouane Fellaini made a similar move.
Coleman, having spent seven years at Everton, is well accustomed to the Premier League and wouldn’t take too long to settle in at Old Trafford but the Toffees would certainly command a hefty fee for the signature of the Irish international, which raises questions as to whether there is better options out there.
These rumours aren’t anything new and the links seem to surface every transfer window but many Manchester United fans certainly think he’s a good option, clearly unimpressed with Matteo Darmian and wanting an upgrade on Antonio Valencia, despite the Ecuadorian playing well out of his natural position.
I think United will sign Griez, Lukaku, Bailey and Coleman next summer. What a squad we would have then #MUFC

This may sound retarded but I’d love Seamus Coleman at Man United. Better than our two RB’s atm and captain material
