With their respective bosses ready to inject some creativity into their attacks, the South American sensation is seen as an option.

Louis van Gaal’s side were linked with Ribeiro over the summer, while Liverpool are thought to be new on the scene.

With Cruzeiro demanding around £6m, the versatile ace is a cost-effective option for both teams, who are rumoured to be looking at multiple targets ahead of the winter window.

Italian champions Juventus also want Ribeiro, who has three senior international caps to his name.
