The 22-year-old stopper is one of Europe’s most highly-rated young players, and his early performances have led to comparisons with Azzurri legend Gianluigi Buffon.
However, the duo will have to look elsewhere as Perin has committed his future to Genoa:
“I am happy at Genoa and want to stay.” He is quoted by The Metro.
“I have a contract until 2017 and that’s not a huge amount, but not a small amount either.
“The president knows what I want. I will be at Genoa next season, 100%. You can underline it, I will be playing for Genoa next year.”
The 6ft. 2” glovesman has represented Italy at almost every level of youth football and is already a senior international after making his full debut against Albania in 2014 – he came on for the last 17 minutes and kept a clean sheet.
