Man United starlet set for yet another loan move

Hull City are set to make a move for Manchester United ace Nick Powell after the youngster returned from from his loan spell at Leicester City, the Daily Mirror reports.

Powell was purchased by Man United in the summer of 2012 for £6million, but has not been able to break into the first team, and has instead spent most of his time loaned out to lower league sides.

But now Hull boss Steve Bruce is looking to bring the 20-year-old, dubbed the ‘next Paul Scholes’, to the KC Stadium for the remainder of the season.

Bruce was previously chasing Wigan midfielder Callum McManaman, but he was beaten by West Bromwich Albion, who signed the player for £4.75million yesterday.

The Tigers have therefore turned to Powell as a worthwhile alternative, with the United starlet being tracked ever since his release from Leicester at the end of last year.

The former Crewe Alexandra ace only managed to play three games for the Foxes during the first half of the current season and will hope to get more opportunities if he makes the switch to Hull.
