Prior to Manchester United’s Premier League game with Hull City today, Angel di Maria likened playing alongside the Red Devils’ captain Wayne Rooney as similar to playing with Barcelona and Argentine superstar Lionel Messi – naturally, this generated a lot of lols, banter, memes and vines on social media but that’s not why I’m here.
Anyway, Manchester United are hoping to build on last weekend’s 2-1 over Arsenal at the Emirates – they won’t care it was three points that they didn’t really deserve – and it appears Wayne Rooney is ready to make sure that the three points remain at Old Trafford today (they’ve started well thanks to a scrappy Chris Smalling goal which needed the assistance of Goal Line Technology).
The England captain was photographed warming up for the clash with the Tigers and, for a moment, it appears he breaks the land-speed world record by achieving blistering pace.
Meep! Meep! RoadRunner coming through!
