Man United & Tottenham target open to move

Manchester United and Tottenham target Memphis Depay has confessed that he would consider leaving PSV Eindhoven this summer for a big club.

The Dutch winger rose to prominence at the World Cup, notching two goals as the Oranje finished the tournament in third spot.

He has since been linked with both Spurs and United, with the duo thought to be keen to land him.

Lilywhites have been assessing an £18m raid before the transfer window closes, while Red Devils chief Louis van Gaal is understood to have spoken to the player and urged him to wait another 12 months for a move to Old Trafford.

Although he says that staying at PSV is a good option for him, the 20-year-old has admitted that he would consider a big offer from a top club:

“I have done my time at PSV but if nice clubs from big leagues ask, I will think about it. There is lots of interest but it is definitely an option to stay.” He is quoted by The Mirror.

“I understand fans want me to play well this season in Eindhoven, but I’m one who decides how my career will look, no one else.”
