£31.2m star set for huge Man City medical amid Guardiola’s seismic overhaul

German international Leroy Sane is set to complete his £31.2m move to Manchester City this week, according to the Daily Mail.

The 20-year old Schalke ace is understood to have been on Pep Guardiola’s radar for a while now, though the Bundesliga outfit are thought to have wanted £50m.

While the German is hugely rated, that proved to be hugely expensive for a player who has completed just one full season in top flight football.

Instead, the Sky Blues are said to agreed on an initial £31.2m fee, in a deal that could eventually cost up to £46.5m.

The winger is reported to have bid farewell to his teammates ahead of travelling to Manchester in order to finalise his move to the Etihad Stadium.

Schalke themselves are believed to have turned their attentions to Liverpool flop Lazar Markovic and Southampton star Dusan Tadic as potential replacements for their outgoing starlet.
