According to a new report from Duncan Castles, Manchester City are interested in the services of Wolverhampton Wanderers' star Adama Traore but it will not be easy to snatch the player away from his club.

Castles spoke about the potential move on The Transfer Window podcast (starting at 3:14) and delivered a verdict which stunned plenty of City supporters.

Castles said: "Wolverhampton Wanderers will not let Adama Traore go easily in the summer window. They're expecting offers. They know Manchester City are keen on the player. Manchester City are going to embark on a significant upgrade of their first team in the summer. The information I have is that Wolves' owners, Fosun international, expect a bid of €150m (£127m) for the player before they will consider it."

Upon seeing this update from Castles, fans were in disbelief at the size of the price tag, which they deem to be excessive for a player of Traore's profile, leaving many supporters pondering the ridiculousness of the market.

Their verdict seems to be that Wolves' star is simply either not good enough for Man City or that the €150m price tag is way off the mark.

Some were giving their own estimations instead and one fan even said that he wouldn't even take the player if he was worth just £10m.

While that does seem a bit harsh given Traore's rise, it's clear that the Citizens faithful aren't huge admirers of the jet-heeled winger...

Of course, given their stance on Traore, it was no surprise that many of them pushed forward their own ideas of who the club should target instead.

Who the heck is that?! Can you name all 25 of these obscure Man City signings...

One fan suggested City swoop in for Lionel Messi and one other name-checked Jack Grealish.

If only it were that simple, hey?

And finally, there were some who didn't give much of an explanation but their verdict was straightforward enough - no thank you.

Meanwhile, Man City have reportedly scouted a big Serie A star for a potential summer acquisition...
