Agent arrives in England to broker record transfer agreement with Man City

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Leonardo Bonucci’s agent has arrived in Manchester in an attempt to broker a £51million transfer deal between Juventus and Manchester City.

The 29-year-old centre-back has claimed five Serie A titles since moving to Turin six years ago and was the bedrock of an Italy side that surpassed expectations to reach the quarter-finals of Euro 2016.

Citizens boss Pep Guardiola is said to be a huge fan of the 62-cap international and he’s resultantly been linked with an Etihad move continuously in recent weeks.

In fact, City have already seen a £38million bid for Bonucci turned down by Juventus according to Sky Sports, whilst other sources claim he’d prefer a summer switch to Premier League rivals Chelsea.

But TuttoSport claim the defender’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, has arrived in Manchester to hold further talks with the Citizens.

He believes Juventus will agree to sell Bonucci if he can convince Manchester City to cough up a staggering £51million.

That would set a new world-record fee for a defender, marginally beating the £50million sum PSG paid for David Luiz two summers ago.
