The Ivory Coast international will be remembered as one of the major signings of the Sheik-owned era at the Etihad, providing intrinsic drive from midfield as the Citizens claimed Premier League titles in 2012 and 2014.
But now 33 years of age, the former Barcelona star’s form has notably declined over the last two campaigns, netting just 20 times compared to 24 during the 2013/14 season alone.
With his contract edging upon it’s final twelve months, a departure seems likely during the summer transfer window and agent Dimitri Seluk claims the club are actively looking to sell.
As quoted by Calcio Mercato, he recently stated; “We are still trying to find a solution with Manchester City, who want to sell Touré on permanent basis, they are not interested in loaning him.”
And Toure’s representative also confirmed that he’s held talks with former manager Roberto Mancini regarding a potential summer switch to Inter Milan.
He told the Italian news outlet; “Yes, it’s true. We are talking with Mancini. I can’t say if there are other clubs interested. Inter? It’s a good club.”
